Every project at EQUUS -large or small- is handled by a Project Manager who is responsible for smooth project flow from start to finish. The members assigned to a project work as a team to ensure that projects are completed in a timely
and efficient manner.
At EQUUS we are specialists in handling large-volume and on-going projects. If you would like information about the particulars of our methods of managing these types of projects please contact us directly.
Project Evaluation
We carefully evaluate all potential projects to identify the needs of the client, the scope of the project and the appropriate tools to be used
We offer a realistic and affordable estimate of time and costs
For large-volume, on-going projects schedules are created to outline project milestones
Reception
Once volumes, rates and turnaround dates have been discussed, the Operations and Resources Manager designates a Project Manager and a linguistic team which will include specialists in the subject area
Immediately after receiving the files, we perform an evaluation that includes a technical and linguistic analysis for determining the most appropriate resources
The PM finalizes with the client the tools to be used, the material required (reference material, terminology, translation memory, etc.), delivery instructions and any other special handling needs
Production
The focus turns to the translation of prepped files by specialized linguists
Glossaries and Style Guides are compiled to guarantee consistency in translation and formatting criteria
The PM supervises query management, updating project specifications as needed, and involves the client directly in the decision-making process
Proofing
Routine spelling and grammar checks, terminology verification, style and formatting reviews are then performed on the finished translations
Depending on project scope, subject-matter specialists may be consulted to provide a final content proofing
Quality Controls are implemented by the PM according to LISA QA processes and standards
DTP, Testing and Compilation
The translated/localized files are then prepped back into the original file format
DTP, if required, will be carried out by our in-house specialists
For Help systems localization, compilation can be carried out as part of the QA process
Software verification and cross-checking, if required, will be carried out by our technical engineer
